Or will the right NFL situation be too tempting for him to pass up?

Notre Dame signed him to a 10 year contract worth between $30-$40 million. This is more than most NFL coaches make. Notre Dame wants to make sure they have him locked up well into the future. Weis has already accomplished so much in the NFL and he says coaching ND is his "dream" so he will be there for a long time.

Yeah. That's the premier job in college. He's there at least five years. He's got a QB coming in next year who's better than Brady Quinn, and he'll ride it out until his senior year when he'll take over the Texans or some crappy franchise, propel them to mediocrity and maybe a playoff berth or two before the owner starts wondering why he can't win with a 60 million dollar payroll and cuts Weis just as he's getting the guys he wants. Then Weis will move to another team and immediately win three Super Bowls in four years, making the former owner look like a dolt and letting stupid sports writers across America beg the question, "is Weis the best ever?" soon forgetting about guys like Lombardi and Landry, Walsh, Parcells and Belichick.

I didn't think that Nick Saban would have left LSU as early as he did. It was expected but not that soon.
I believe Charlie Weis will have a good run at ND. They will eventually win the national championship under his leadership.
Once that happens 'big money' will come knocking and the allure to win at the college and pro level is hard to pass up. Also, recruiting at the college level takes its toll. I am always amazed at coaches like Paterno, Bowden, etc. that can stick to it for so long.
