Why does the community colleges usually accept local students??
What is their profit when they get more students?
Why does the community colleges advertise themselves so hard??
I'm very curious ..

Community college is designed as a way into higher education. It is easiest and least expensive for locals. The more students, the more successful the school appears to be, the better funding is for the school. Advertising lures prospective students.

b/c they know their the lower cost and the students will go where it low cost to take the courses there.it also better for the local students to go there if they can afford the cost of a bigger collage and the time to travel

because it is community

that means it is for everyone

they usually offer a lot of activities and contribute to the community also
