On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 as the highest, I'd score it at 7... anything higher than that is common sense assisted by scientific research. Common sense, after all, are rules of thumb derived primarily from empirical observations by generations.

It depends on your perspective. Your common sense is always sensible, while you may perceive another's to be nonsense.
