Every state should instill this law. These people are very sick and there is no cure for this. I have worked in a psych ward for over 6 years before going to a regular hospital. The stories and disgusting tales these things pride themselves on are out of this world. They need to die for the terrible acts they commit to our children who are innocent victims.

I agree that child molesters should die, and I also believe that all of the states should adopt the death penalty. that is only my opinion though.
I have personally seen though people accused of this horrible crime that were innocent. There are those would say, kill them first and weed them out later. Well I am your every day bigot who am going out today and look at someone I don't like, especially a person not my color and I am going to tell the justice system that he molested a child. I am even going to make a liar out of the child. I hope that the child molesters and the people who bear false witness all get caught up in the same web.

The problem is that mistakes happen and you do not want to kill innocent people--it is innocent blood on your hands because you support the killing. In Illinois DNA tests showed over 30 % of the people on death row were INNOCENT of the charges that sent them to the death house. 30 % is a totally unacceptable failure rate, no business could stay in business with errors like that, and killing people is about as serious a mistake you could ever make: the ultimate sin! Here in Cal a guy was recently freed from prison after doing 28 years (think of it!) for the rape and murder of a little girl, and DNA evidence cleared him. At least he is alive to be compensated, but you really have no way to compensate people you have murdered (yes, thats what it would be, you will have to stand before God some day and justify killing innocent people because it is inevitable it will happen). So I say just lock em up where they can't do any harm. Why kill when the failure rate is so high?

I think that you are nuts. Oklahoma having the right to kill anyone is crazy. The legal system there in certain cases has involved corruption in DNA processing such as Joyce Gilchrist sending innocent people to prison just to get the conviction. Another state should step in and take care of Oklahoma's legal system.

I would like to see it in every state. I am a very religious person. And many of my family and friends disagree with the death penalty. But God help the person who would dare hurt my kids. As a mother of 3 I hope one day to see it across the whole USA.

Good. I'm with it all the way. I just hope 10 years down the line they don't discover it's the wrong person or something.

Considering the rate of population decline for Oklahoma and the other midwestern states, I don't think that they should be executing anyone. What's really disturbing is the fact that Oklahoma has so many child molesters that they need to start executing them to make rooms in their overcrowded jails. Sigh...those horrible, horrible midwesterners.

Sounds like a good idea to me.

What's your reaction to the allegation that it will make offenders more likely to kill the victim, since the perp is at risk of the death penalty?

There is no other way to control these individuals. Either we protect our children or we don't. This method works with these individuals.

A society that doesn't protect its children is a society which is on the decline.
