to be very honest ..a gud friendship is only possible with ur ex only when both of u have found new partners for urselves and are at peace with the situation . But when ur friends with ur ex-bf while ur still looking ..or he still single ..then trust me ..its hard to keep it platonic . the girl usually cant stop being sarcastic hiniting at the causes of the failure of their old relationship ..and the guy wud always want sex ,coz for him its always so long so good . believ me ,,its always invariably like dat . But whatever the case maybe ,,,its always fun to be friends with ur ex ..if u know how to take it by ur stride

Yes, for a woman, it is possible to stay friends and sometimes even become good buddies. I think at some times the man might get romantic or sexual feelings again and try renewing that part of the relationship, but will usually stick to your limits as a friend.

Besides one guy, I'm not friends with any of my ex's. But only because of they way they treated me or my kids and are not deserving of my friendship let alone a wave hello. I do have lots of friends and also a sister that are great friends (platonic only) with their ex's.
