comrades, i have got to write around 20 pages of info on consumer awareness and its need as part of a CBSE 10th grade economics project. Can anyone help?/???

20pages! yikes. I would find a lot of examples on why consumers need to be aware of companies that commit fraud and take advantage. start with, tobacco companies and oils companies, the automotive industry and then check out why consumers should be aware that prescription drug are overpriced in the US. Not to mention animal testing on products, bad labor practices such as using foreign companies with child labor and poor wages. State how consumer awareness can benefit people and help us overcome the companies that use their power and money to take advantage of the common man. How we can find a solution.

Personally I would pick on the diet and nutrition industry. None of their products need to be approved by the FDA and they can make practically any claim they want as to their product's abilities! If we forced the nutrition industry (and those making up "diets"), Americans would save hundreds of millions of dollars a year. What a racket!!! And then think about this... if all those rip-off companies were forced out, think of all the people out of work selling/shipping and producing those products. China would be in trouble, lol!

Hummm.... you might try "Consumer Reports". You might also try your local library, because not everything is available as a one sentance answer on the Internet. Libraries have antique things called BOOKS... and there are even some about consumer awareness... you might like to try reading one.
