I'm 17 weeks pregnant and these last three days I've been having like period pains and cramps in my lower back.. is this normal as I haven't felt this before. And... could sex in any way harm my baby?

That's exactly what happened to me. I asked my doctor about it and he said it was just things stretching. I'm still feeling it and I'm almost 41 weeks pregnant now. It's really nothing to worry about unless you see blood...then it would be time to contact your doc.

As far as sex...no problem at all. As long as you're having a complication-free pregnancy, have at it.

Best of luck with the rest of your pregnancy!!

This is common, and unless you are having a high risk pregnancy, it is perfectly alright to have sex while pregnant. Most ob/gyn's encourage it actually.
