,My opinion is you should face what you have just started and do not distract your young life with dates that will only hurt you with serials of heart brakes and probably diseases .Today world is totally different. A lot of dishonest human being. If you are a female ,consider if you get pregnant and what will your future be .Take a trip to the homes of those who made that uncorrectable mistakes. You are still very very young and the world is in your hand.Be you a male .NOTHING IS SWEET AS OBTAINING A SOUND EDUCATION :Therefore sweet, go get it and the sky will be your limit. And mind you high school is nothing in the world today.Think about kids in Africa ,Asia etc and be a go- getter .They will wish to have your opportunity GOOD LUCK

Not a good idea. You will still be adjusting to new people and difficult subjects. Just get to know people. Enjoy highschool life by making lots of new but worthwhile friends. Yes have fun but also, take it seriously, and make the most of your education.

Are you old enough? Do you have the money to do this? Do you have the desire inside of you or is this a peer thing. Think about what YOU want to do! Learn the ropes of high school first, then find a friend. Take it slow. If you date, does your Mom have to drive you around? Not good! Good Luck!

Start dating because you are ready to, not just because you're in high school now. My sister had boyfriends for most of high school because it was the expected thing to do and she says it was very limiting. I, on the other hand, didn't officially "date" anyone. Sometimes I wished I had a boyfriend, other times I was thanking God I didn't.

i'm a senior and i still haven't gone on what my parents qualify as a "date" it all depends if you meet someone that you can't get out of your head. a person that you would do anything for. etc.. my parents want me to just focus on my grades and possibly get a job. those always come first. remember, colleges look at your grades and that determines if you get in or not. but if you meet someone you genuinely are in love with, go for it. otherwise, i find it to be silly.

Maybe you should just let things take it's course and enjoy life before you end up pregnant and alone. If you just got to high school you might want to focus on that or it could get worse. You could end up pregnant, alone, and dumb.
