Oh please! Just because your God didn't create aliens in his image doesn't mean that's the case. Release yourself from the box you're living in and grow up. Religions are the fairy tales, not aliens. Aliens are more realistic than any god.

I myself find the existence of God more plausable than the existence of aliens, given the speed of light and the price of oil

To give you and idea, as it would take a long time to conduct a lesson in astronomy. Our closest galaxy is Andromeda. It would take 2 million years, travelling at 300,000 km/second to get there. We can only see as far as 12 billion light years away (i.e., light from galaxies being seen now which were produced 12 billion years ago). It is estimated the universe is approximately 14 billion years old. What was God doing for the last 13,997,600,000 years? Waiting? Planing earth? Come on people, think.

Consider the fact that if you take every grain of sand on this planet, then imagine each grain as representing a galaxy within this universe, then think about the average number of stars in each galaxy (you still wouldn't be close to estimating), that's a LOT of stars with the potential of sustaining/supporting life.

By this fact it is then ludicrous to even conceive that no other life exists than on this planet.. Just not in the manner they are represented in films.

People really need to start understanding physics, chemistry and biology, than eating what they're given.

Faith is a powerful thing, as is the mind and imagination.

This is how come it's so difficult to convince someone that something they can't see, isn't actually there...

Great means of control and order, at least it was till others started popping up, the result you can see today.

Religion(s) is/are the basis and cause of more death and destruction than any natural disaster, any biological infection, any disease or condition this planet has seen in its entire life time. Such a heart warming thought isn't it, and such a wonderful pastime to uphold.

We don't need to believe in a God to be 'nice', or 'good' to each other, we are all here for the same reason enjoy what we have the chance to experience. That is it. That is the 'why?' The 'how?' we are here is even simpler. Sheer and utter cosmic fluke. We are indeed not alone; it is stubborn and absurd to think we are the only life forms in existence or this universe.

BUT to choose NOT to believe poses a problem for people. The fact that there is nothing to do and no where to go once they're dead. People have and always will want to immortality, to be remembered, that their life meant something, instead of the obvious alternate they see as being nothing.

However their life is important by what they do and others lives they affect by doing so.

So why do people choose believe? Because we mostly brought up this way and take comfort in ignorance (hence the derivative of the phrase) 'Ignorance is bliss'

Personally I take comfort in my ever expanding understanding, and hope my words help those who doubt form their own understanding.

you do at least believe in death right? you do know that whether you choose to believe inGod is your choice and you will find out upon your death from this life just who or what your Creator is??yes religions are troublesome and usually backwards or wickered. those things have nothing to do with the Creator of heaven and earth.Believing in God is one way of accepting the greatness of the human creation. nothing else can do what the Creator has done often imitated but never, ever duplicated. i find it strange that people would not believe we were created by God and that we just exist by some fluke of time. i attatch so much mor greatness to the growing of a child in my daughters womb.the way a storm does it's own passover and shakes up one and totally ignors others.life is so spiritual thatone must believe in more than themselves.aliens are less realistic than God because where are they?you your self are a living breathing image of your creator. you breathe His brethe, without the breath of God you would be still born.common sense helps when thinking so deeply....

Believers are deluded, and most of them in here are complete dimwits who can't think for themselves and just mindlessly spout from the Bible as a thinking substitute. They clearly show how bad religion can be for mental health.
