Just spam, you probably at some point during your surfing gave your email address to a website that sends spam to your inbox/ or you could have some spyware on your computer. Use a Spam Filter that comes with any good Internet Security Centre package like mcafee and be more careful where you give your email address.

Most spam gets delivered that way. It is using a feature of email called Blind Carbon Copy (BCC). When you are addressing email you need to have at least 1 person on the To line, but you can also send Carbon Copies (CC) to others. If you use the CC function, everyone who receives the email sees all of the email addresses that you sent to. If you instead use the BCC function, everyone still gets the email but they only see the email address that was on the To: line.
This is also how most mailing lists work if you receive email about the latest sales from the stores you shop at.

remember you are using a system that travels around the whole world. that is why it is called world wide web.
the best you can do is is if the provider you are using as a section for spam mail. yahoo has it. if you pay attention to the front list of where your emails come in. next to the delete bottom, it states "spam". if you get any emails which you think are spam, hightight the email and then press the spam botton. they get automatic easers and then yahoo provider puts them in a list of spam messengers so you no longer get the emails from that one spam. yahoo has this for the members who pay and the members who have the service fro free. hope this helps.

This is called Marketing Spamm
You Help the person spamm you
When ever u get a long mail of a dying guy or..etc stories horror ur gonna die n stuff like dat asking u to forward it or dat they will be paid by yahoo for each mail
well they r rite in a way, they get paid by Companys for giving them email adresses which they collect when u FORWARD the mail to all ur contacts.
The mail has a code which sends the email adress info to a Central server which stores ur email adress and the other's whom u forward to.
so when u get spamm its u who r to blame n dats how they get ur email adress.
so next time be smart

I have this problem with my Yahoo email, but not my Outlook Express. I was told it was due to someone hacking or trying to hack into my email account. I got Norton Anti-spam. And the problem stopped.
