I live in China. I would change the crazy driving. This atheistic nation has no idea how God is protecting them. In a Chinese Taxi, the brakes (if there are any) are never used. Only the steering wheel, horn and gas pedal are used. There is no such thing as a stop sign. Anywhere is fair game--up over sidewalks, head-on--anything! One is weaved through bicycles (millions of them, many ridden by old people), burros (or donkeys--don't know one from the other), motorbikes(4-member families riding on them--equivalent to our family car), motorcycles, trucks, cars, buses, people walking in the street (there are crosswalks which no one uses or recognizes). Maybe, this is the better way.
Maybe the reason I never see an accident I because there is so much traffic, one can't get up enough speed to do any damage. Not only that, but the Taxi drivers here must be among the best drivers in the world. They continue to get me safely home, for which I'm grateful.
In the past 15 months I've lived here, I have yet to see an accident.
In Houston (from whence I came), a beeped horn means someone may pull out a gun in a fit of road rage. Here, horns are beeping constantly; but, not out of malice, only to warn everyone, "Comin' through...", so that no one gets hurt--and through some miracle, no one does.
I had a heart attack soon after coming here, and I think part of the reason was the crazy driving. I white-knuckled it for three months, 'til I learned never to look out the front window--just the side windows. I was sure, every day, I would not return home, alive. Now, I'm so desensitized, I have 0 reflexes. A Mack truck could come at me head on, and I probably wouldn't flinch--I'd just stand there and watch it run me down--knowing it wasn't going to hit me, 'cause nothing ever does, here.

If i could change the society i live in(Pakistan), i would want people to change their attitude towards each other.Show more respect for each other, whatever the religion, ethnicity, colour & creed. Work for peace within the nation and beyond. Increase the literacy rate, lower the rate of population growth. Pay more attention to ecology/environment.
I would want democracy in the country & an end to feudalism which still exists in some remote areas of the country.
Above all peace and love for all those who belong here & for those who are here to visit.

We cannot change the culture but we can change the society by changing the laws of society.
Social change is not a small phenomenon,it takes hundreds of years to bring about changes in the society.

I have no idea if I fully understand this question....but that is not going to stop me from answering.
What I would love society/culture to change is the way it seems to applaud the rail thin movie stars and models.
Pick up any magazine, and you see girls on it who look like they came from straight from a famine.
Regular girls see these models who eat only roots and twings and then throw them up, and think "So That's what I am supposed to look like, that is what guys want women to look like."
Sigh. Real women do not look like this. To get the "Look" females do drastic things which endanger their health. They throw up everything they eat. They shoot heroin, eat crack, abuse laxatives...do all sorts of ugly things to their bodies,..to look good for guys.
Unbelievable. If I were a man, I would prefer curves, and softness, to bones and sharp angles.....men have rats in their attics.
And so, that is what I would change about the society/culture I live in.

Make social nudism legal. This would include a persons property, public parks and any body of water. The would still be laws dealing with illegal and/or provacative actions that could and would do harm to a person.

I'd probably make everyone born blind of sight. that way we'd all have to deal with another by content of character and not by appearance.
