Just mention casually one day that you really like long nails. If she's comfortable growing her nails out, she will probably do it. If she doesn't want to grow her nails out, she might get upset. Just tell her you don't care about nails, and her love her no matter what.

I wouldn't be upset, but if she is an athelete, it would not be smart to have long nails. If you would like to see her have longer nails, and she not into hands on sports that would cause her nails to break, then take her as a surprise to get a manicure and pedicure. From there maybe the two of you can choose whether to have her nails tipped or overlayed to help them grow. I know a few guys that have done this for thier girlfriends, and actually had a men's manicure and pedicure with her while waiting.

By offering this surprise gift, it does not make you look pushy.

I never really had a guy ask me to have long nails, I usually keep them at a decent length, and polished.

Yes I would. She may actually want them but doesn't know how. And/Or it may be hard with her field of work or home duties.

Sally Hansens is pretty good nail hardner found in almost any store. Or like someone else suggested u can send her to the shop for a manicure. And help her out with dishes or yardwork because those things can be lethal to a good set of nails.

Umm, I think you shouldn't really ask to her to do that. You sound too into what she looks like. If you think she's pretty, don't try to fix her up, I don't get why you're obsessed with doing that. But if you want a subtle way, buy her a gift card or certificate or whatever to a nail salon, so she can get her nails done. It's a nice gesture, but just do it because. Get her like flowers and chocolates to go along with it so it doesn't just look like you're being weird.

If she doesn't grow her nails, she obviously does it beacuse of some reason - she doesn't like it, she doesn't want it or she just can't handle them :-) I also don't like long nails because I just can't work with them, they are hard to care for and I'm a girlie girl! So, just enjoy in the beauty of your girlfriend, her nails are just her nails and they have nothing to do with you!

Not knowing the girl can be a prob but maybe a gift certificate to a nail salon with some flowers would be a possibility.

Have you ever thought about the micro organisms growing under long fingernails? Guess not.
I think if she doesn't already have long nails you might be asking her to do something that is outside her comfort level. No harm in asking, though, just don't push it and learn to live without if she doesn't go for it.

No, l try to grow my nails, most girls like to have long nails, but it's easier said than done because they break easily.

I wouldn't be happy if my boyfriend asked me to do that. You should be happy with the aspects of her that please you. Her nails are short by choice - clearly, she prefers them that way. If you like girlie girls, you should have found one. Or grow your own nails - but don't ask her, she'll be insulted.

You could ask her to, there's nothing wrong with that, but if she doesn't want to then leave her alone about it.

I wouldn't do it because I bite my nails, so it's practically impossible for me to have long nails without chewing on them.
