Ok, well my best friend and I both really like this one guy. He is one year younger than me, and 3 years younger than her. The guy likes me. She says that if I say yes when he asks me out, than that will be like backstabbing her. And because she likes him too, I can't go out with him. Everyone tells me that my friend bosses me around too much and I just sit there and take it. But a lot of times my friend is really nice. So i just don't know what to do. Should I say yes to the really sweet guy? Or should I say no and make my friend happy?

Why don't you just tell your friend she's not being fair to you or your friendship, and is she really willing to give her best friend up over a guy? Doesn't really sound like something a best friend would do. Explain that to her.

Well i would say yes to the guy if you like him and he likes you. I woulnt listen all the time to ur friend cause usally friends will backstabb you to a couple times in yall freindship. Also i think you are begin bosed around by your friend but i dont know how yall are and dont know how yall are friends and other stuff about your friendship. So pretty sure just say yes to the guy and ignore your friend right now and just backstabb her cause she might back stabb you soon in life so do ahead and say yes.

Hope this Helps.

When I was in high school I went through the same thing. My best friend ended up dating him and I was really hurt and did feel betrayed. Because all three of us were friends. We did work it out. He is no longer around and they did break up after awhile. But we are still best friends. I think it always is in my mind though. Because I really loved him but she did like him first. Friends are there and will stand the test of time if you are truely Best friends. Good luck.

Since you are best friends, shouldn't both of you be understanding and just be friends first instead of pairing off? Get to know the guy better first. Who knows, one of you might back out after knowing him better. The guy says he likes you but did he say it in the presence of your best friend? Did he also say he likes your best friend? If not then you can explain to the guy to let your friend know clearly where she stands.
She can't be your best friend if she continues to dominate your relationship, can she? My advice is don't fight over a guy!

i think what you should do is both of you take him out to a fun place like dorney park or someplace fun. and let HIM choose who he wants. and that way you wont actually be hurting your friend it would be his choice. and the other friend who didnt get chosin can still be cool friends with him, ya know, and maybe later the one whos going out with him might fill bad for the left out friend and might dumb him knowing that friendship is much better than boys. and if not then at least youll see if shes a true friend, or not

i hope this helps

Two questions,

1. Who met him first?

2. Is a man really worth losing a best friend?

You decide.

If you ask me i will say both girls can forget him and find another person who will be elder than you. Anyway that's your own decision. But in this case you don't have to listen to her if she said that will be backstabbing. If he ask you that's mean he likes you. It's not your fault. But you can evaluate both , and for your knowledge who seems to be more value you choose that person over another one. If you worship your friendship and really you think she is capable to that worship then don't accept his date. But if you think she is bossy and jealous about you then don't listen to her. Good Luck
