Okay I am really surprised no one got this when you asked.

Terrorists?

It is an interesting analogy. there is not much difference between a person coming into your home, and then causing chaos.

And terrorists coming into our country, us trusting them, and then start killing us.

Either way we invite someone into where we are vulnerable, thus showing our trust, and then being destroyed as a way of responding to our kindness.

international politics - Do other countries have some good reasons to be mad at us? It would seem so. We have screwed over several countries over the past half century. I am not saying they are right either. However, we should definitely look at why so many seem to hate us.

I think there is another important question to mix into this. The question comes from the theory behind the movie "V for Vendetta." Basically, if we agree with their politics, then they are rebels fighting for freedom. But if we do not, then they are terrorists.

So where do we go from here, though? Do we live in the basis of fear, and never trust again? I do not agree. That is not the way I want to live. I would rather live (both as country and as individual) trying to trust others. Man is not supposed to be alone. This is the only way to live.

Does that mean that we stop Homeland Security and other defensive measures? No, we can not be blind either. There is sin in the world, and not everyone is worthy of trust. Only we can defend us. However, it is still wrong to stay in a state of fear.

At the same time, it is not right for us to pour billions into Afganistan to rebuild that country when New Orleans still does not look any better than it did a year ago.

I think that America needs to do some serious thinking of where we, as a country, want to go from here in a lot of different areas.

God Bless,
Vic

You must have invited the United States Armed Forces into your house. They do that kind of stuff all the time. That's one of the reasons why the rest of the world dislikes the United States of America.

When is the US. going to cease playing World Policeman? Oh thats another Question!

I think the answer you are looking for is "Terrorist" but the analogy is flawed in my opinion. The EARTH (not a country) is the home and no one is a guest here, we are all family members. So, if "terrorist" is the answer, and earth is the home, what you have are family members kiiling family members.

It is the view that each country is somehow a separate "home" and that we are all separate "families" that leads to all forms of terrorism and war.

Don't you mean a RHETORICAL question?
The only kind of invited guest who kills family members would be drugs, alcohol, or disease.
