Let's say scientists discover a way to convert matter into other forms. They've tested it and want to try it on people. It has worked on animals, and the change lasts for one full week before you turn back. They'll pay you $10,000 and let you pick what they turn you into, but it can only be an object, not a living form.
Would you do it? If so, what would you ask to be turned into and why? Would you even ask for the money, or would you volunteer?

If it was so dumb, why did you bother posting?
And as for a book, erm, it was idle curiousity and boredom. If you were serious about me writing a book, I am fairly stunned. I kinda figured it was closer to being stupid than worthy of a full book. Made me think though.
