hi i am a nurse there is no cure for the common cold, the only way to help yourself is by keeping up your fluid intake and getting plenty of rest

Even though there is no cure for the common cold, there are several ways to start feeling better fast. As you may know already, plenty of rest and increase in fluids will help. I find that if I start taking Zicam and AIrbourne(immunity boosters) I feel much better. You can get both at your local drug store or grocery store.

Take Rosehip tea and breathe essential oils
of Eucalyptis plant this will make you feel better but it's not a cure.. Take some Dandelion tea or Clover tea or Oolong tea
this will help you get over the cold. Also some good hot garlic and onion soup will help too!

I agree with your answer from Jayne T, also if you can drink orange juice, or any other juice you may like that contains Vitamin C. This will help you out. Hope you feel better soon.
