It is a Serious Dilemma when it comes down to it, a continuous influx of migrants into England and Ireland is ongoing, and with Bulgaria joining next yr it won't be easy, they are taking all the jobs that students in college and school will do for the summer or part-time, also school leavers from 16 upwards. Such places as McDonald's, Burger King, bar work apprentice jobs etc.

If the minimum wage is being exploited by the companies of today, these immigrants be they Polish, Latvian, Lithuanian etc will basically place a stop hold on it for the future. How is the minimum wage supposed to increase if the Corporations and Companies today that hire are willing to hire below the average minimum wage, thus placing people in a difficult position not to mention having to work for nothing or else become unemployed!

It is the British and Irish that will suffer here, as it is not viably economic to our native workers if they are forced to be put out of work by such people! These people will suck the life force from the average worker in G.Britain and Ireland, not to mention they are also claiming on benefits through the social welfare such as housing, rent allowance, gas, heating etc. All those benefits which should be going to the poor native people of our Countries.

They are sucking on our taxpayers’ money also. Inflation will increase also over periods of time in all economic markets due to the population increase and an over flow of unemployed workers. Therefore mortgages will increase even more as will all necessary needs etc such as electricity, gas, food items etc.

It is estimated 250, 000 unskilled and average skilled workers will flow in from Bulgaria next yr to both G.Britain and Ireland. When is enough enough, it is time to enforce a legalisation upon our borders and close them..we are not charity countries and we must look after our own!

It is time to stand up and be counted if France can do it then why can't we! We cannot allow our governemnts to dictate our lively hoods like a game of cards...

They must be the only Polish people in this country that are prepared to work for £3 an hour, the ones in our town constantly whinge that the wages are poor, one of them who came to house share with another lot of Polish people on our street went back home in disgust because he was sure he would be getting at least £8 and hour, god help him, my husband has worked at the same company for over 12 years and is still on less than that an hour now, I really couldn't believe what I read in the papers last weekend either, apparantly the Romanians are queuing up now for work visas to get into this country as they are under the impression wages here are on average £28,000 per annum, if you don't get a job they will give you a rent free 3 bedroomed house with double glazing and central heating, this comes with a huge colour tv and free telephone and you get good benefits for not been able to find a job, someone is either telling them these stories and filling their heads with nonsense or there is somewhere like that in Britain and we don't know about it yet, I hate been anti anyone but it really is getting beyond a joke now, if I were you I would find out which companies are paying Polish people £3 an hour and get them reported, hopefully they will go home and the good people of Liverpool will have job opportunities yet again, so unfair when Liverpool has struggled for many a year with mass unemployment to have outsiders rubbed in their face by explotation and greed.

The only jobs I've seen given to Polish workers, are jobs that Brits wouldn't do. These jobs had often been vacant for more than a year and employers were getting desperate, so welcomed the Polish with open arms. Where did this £3 an hour come from? This is way below the Government's Minimum Wage level and is surely illegal. I can't believe they're working for that, because, like the rest of the community, they have to survive and it would be impossible to do so on that rate. I should take advantage of the training that's available in the UK and set your sights higher.

I dont think people like you really have any real understanding of present day geo politics and global economy.Britain became part of the EU for a reason, and a very real economic reason. No one put a gun to Britain's head and asked it to become a part of the EU. It did so because it did not want to dwindle into oblivion in the next 50 years which is what it would have become if it had gone it on its own.Politically, it has become America's lap dog and commands very little influence on global matters. It does not want an economic demise as well.It needs migrants from the EU to keep its economy going simply because its own population is dwindling, aging or on the dole. There are healthy young people in Britain who simply do not want to work and live off the state. Please remember that the migrants who come here to work pay taxes and are not on the dole. I know a Ukraninan boy in my town who has 3 jobs and also know a 27 year old English father of 2 boys, who refuses to hold on to any job for more than 3 months and remained on the dole once for almost 4 years. Almost everyone in a nearby village is on the dole and says that there aren't enough jobs to go around. That is simply not true.Local people are always given preference anywhere in the world. They have an advantage over foreigners.Foreigners or migrants in any country are always given jobs that locals dont want to do and are generally underpaid.Local businesses are desperately looking for responsible people to work at a decent rate of pay but the natives simply dont want to work. What should they do then?Shut shop? Of course they cant, so they have to employ people who want to work.If employers are employing Polish people, at below the minimum wage rate, it is they who are exploitative, it is they who are your real villains. And guess what, they are English. While in England it might come as a surprise for you to know, but in several dozen countries of the world, the English ruled exploitaively for hundreds of years, looting local wealth, enriching the coffers of Her Majesty, massacaring millions and claiming foreign lands as their own.Do you think that was fair?
This bit is for the person who said he has difficulty in understanding foreigners when they speak English.Foreigners will always speak English with a funny accent, simply because it isn't their own languauge. But do you really think that Britishers like you speak and write English, your mother tongue, correctly?Consider the lady who asked this question.I think she needs a lesson in correct English spelling and grammar. Moreover, if she is from Liverpool and has the ubiquitous Liverpudlian accent, I think many natives from the South would find her difficult to understand!

here here I'm with you, bloody eastern Europeans coming here taking our jobs and getting all these hand outs from the government. I'm a trucker and my company has just taken on 3 polish drivers. one of them asked a colleague of mine if he would connect his trailer for him as he didn't know how to ????

where the hell did he get his licence from. there is no war in Poland so why do they all want to come to the UK. because word has got around that they get an easy life here and the government will support them. Before someone reports me for being racist read this:
I am not cos my dad who is British is married to a polish woman and they have been together for 20 years.
Its not just the polish but all the different nationalities coming here.
This country is already over crowded.
they come here and want us to change to please them instead of them changing to fit in with this country.
