I've undergone many tests, revealing that I have everything normal, but my husband is very stressed. Could it be that the sperm is not healthy as he is very stressed ?

Having been through the whole unable to conceive thing I know where your coming from - I knew I had PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) from the age of 15 and was told that I would not be able to have a baby without IVF (this was 18 years ago and back then IVF was strictly for the rich and didnt work all that well anyway) so I grew up thinking I would never have children - however about 4-5 years ago I started on all the medications to try to fall pregnant but they were not working - I was ovulating finally but still not falling pregnant - I went to another Dr who asked if dh had been tested - we said no and he said well if there is a problem with him then it wasnt going to work - he was tested and yes there was also a problem with him so we skipped every other step and went straight to IVF - we now have a 3.5 year old daughter.

Having been through infertility I got to know a lot of other couples in the same sort of situtation as yourself - firstly get him tested to see if there are any problems his side - if there is not ask about other fertility treatments as I also know some people who have unexplained infertility - both have been tested and there is no known reason they are unable to conceive but they have been helped with treatments such as GIFT or IVF etc.

Usually Drs like you to have been trying hard for at least a year and you have met this so Im sure they will be more than happy to explain your options to you - but first things first - get your man tested :)

Good luck!

Babies don't always happen when you want them to. Some people try for years before they finally get pregnant. After my second child was born, I didn't use birth control and it still took almost 2 years before I was pregnant with my third child. So relax. You know nothing is wrong with either of your reproductive systems. And stress is actually worse for you than him. For some mysterious reason, if you are stressed it can actually keep you from pregnancy. So relax. Enjoy your husband. Enjoy sex again. Quit trying so hard and just learn to be happy how you are. Once you relax and are happy, things will happen. There is no medical reason why you cannot carry, so take that as the good news it is. Enjoy your life. Enjoy your spouse. Buy something cute to wear for him and make it about you two, not ttc. Both of you will become less stressed and more relaxed for parenthood.

We tried for four, almost five years. Your timing might not be just right. Have you tried charting yet? www.fertilityfriend.com is what we used and I was pg in two months. www.webmd.com also has a chart that tells you when to have sex according to your cycle. They also give you stress relieving tips and other ideas that might help.
