The day bush wins a noble price would be the last day on earth.
No, President Bush went to Iraq, to a country that had no people involved in the 9/11 events. Saudi Arabia had 15 of the 19 hijackers, but they're our friends. Bush went to Iraq to settle a score on behalf of his old man . . . that is it.
It's real simple. Osama Bin Laden is more than likely hiding out in Saudi Arabia, living the life. Remember that all the 911 hijackers were Saudis. Not Afghans, or Iraqis. Bush Jr's family has been in good relations with the Saudis for decades for oil profit. Bush doesn't want that to come to light, so he distracted the American people with some BS terrorist threat from Iraq. The US military has been in Afganistan for 5 years. We invaded them before Iraq. Despite all the technology and resources at their disposal, the military has failed to find Osama. Yet they plucked Saddam Hussein out of the dirt in no time at all. What this can only mean is that Osama isn't in Afghanistan. Bush is hiding something. You notice he never speaks about capturing Osama, or bringing him to justice for 911. He only speaks about Iraq being some kind of threat unless we establish a Democracy there. Also, Al Qaeda in Iraq is a myth, made up by Bush and co. to make the American people believe there is some kind of tie between the two countries. Most Iraqis have never heard of Al Qaeda. This is just an excuse to stay in Iraq, because his family, and his cronies are getting rich off this war..... Young men and women are dying overseas, but why should he care? they're not of relation to him, plus he's too busy concerend about who to attack next, IRAN or SYRIA?? ...meanwhile hes vacationing everyother day w/ his boyfriend Cheney and their families while we pay three something dollars for gas.

He can tell more lies before breakfast than his father can tell in a week. Just for example, someone once asked him if he had ever lived in Washington, DC. I suppose that conflicted with his phony Texas good ol' boy image. He said no, even though he had lived there for a year previous to that time. Then there was that marvelous scene of Captain AWOL landing on the carrier deck to proclaim victory in Iraq. The TV camera conveniently neglected to show the copilot, who probably flew the plane. He later claimed that he had to use the jet fighter because the ship was too far out to sea to be reached by helicopter. It was less than forty miles out. A reporter once caught his father in a lie during a debate. When he asked the then president's press secretary about it, the press secretary said you can say anything in a debate. Eight million people will hear you. If some reporter contradicts you, how many people will read it? Two hundred? Two thousand? Twenty thousand?

Because of his blinkered view of the world. Much as I sympathise greatly with the people of America over the events of 9/11, having a bunch of right wing religious fanatics in control does not give the rest of the world a very good impression of America. Most Americans I meet are very nice people, there is this problem that they do not know a lot about the rest of the world and try to impose an American solution in places where the American solution will not work. Thus, when the proverbial sh*t hits the fan they are bewildered, angered and at a loss to try and explain why people see their attempts at solving a problem as foreign interference. More diplomacy and less Sabre rattling would get America a lot further.

Don't HATE Bush, just don't think he is the best or smartest person for the job. I would wonder seriously about the people who vote on the Peace Prize if they pick him as a winner. He is a war monger - and as the first post said, he is starting wars in the wrong places, not achieving his goals and really not stopping terrorism in any way shape or form. So how would that win him a "Peace" prize.

Why do people still doubt Iraq had forbidden WMD programs? We have already found over 500 banned chemical artillery rounds, nuclear weapons program parts and other materials. In addition, Saddam's top general, Georges Sada, has published a book detailing how Saddam shipped most of the stuff off to Syria.
Plus there was the stuff found dumped in the Euphrates river.
Come on, people, pull your heads out and get informed!!

Your kidding, right? You don't get The Nobel in Peace by going to war...how George Orwellian.Maybe if George W. had worked within the international community, like his dad did, or maybe if he wasn't in so much of a rush, like some kid on his first date, more people would have been and still would be on his, (our), side. As it stands , all he did was make enemies and future terrorist.
I'd give the Nobel to that Cathy Sheehan chick who lost here son. Now all she does is protest war in the name of PEACE. That's what the Nobel is meant for.

They hate him because we are at war so they blame him. Rather than looking at the root cause it's much easier to blame him. As for Britsurfers answer that he was looking for terrorists, that was just added to the real issue of WMD which was thought by very many to be in Iraq. He made a decision based on the information he had. His duty is to protect the United States. If he had waited until he had every possible piece of information that he could get or hope to get (as the Democrats do before they make a decision...they are like deer in the headlights) then there is no telling what could have happened had Iraq truely had WMD. Now that we are there we need to help the country become stabilized. I'd like to know what these people think would happen if we just pulled out of Iraq today? Maybe I'll post that question :-)

Dream on, he attacked a country looking for 'terrorists' despite the fact that none of the 9/11 terrorists were Iraqi. He now wants to attack Iran and Syria (who would have been more appropriate targets in the first place). He makes jokes about not finding weapons of mass destruction at dinner parties while coalition forces die every day in Iraq.
