Life itself. About 3 years ago my husband was put in prison for a stupid crime wherby the system just through the book at him. Anyway while he was encarcerated I was left to take care of three children on my own....literally! No family, friends nothing my kids were 6, 3, & 1 years of age. It was OK at first but a few months down the line the company I worked for sold out and I lost my job......I worked ther for 9 years. I took any job I could get just to survive. I worked at Wendys as a manager for about one year and during that time as you know fast food does not pay really well, espesially when havin gto care for 3 kids and the government was no help (I have never recieved or applied for ANY help from the government until this) child care took half of my check per week. Sometimes I would go days without eating, I could have ate at work but only one meal & basically I would try to condition my body to not want to eat so I would not be hungry. My kids wore clothes from the churches tat were donated, they also would on ocassion provide SOME help to us. My electric was disconneted several times, water shut off several times, noone woudl help. I struggled in a way I never imagined I would have to. I am sure plenty of people have it worse but this was as bad as it got for me. Now he is home and we are back up & running. I appreciate EVERYTHING we have which still is not ALOT but man was I taught a lesson in life. Now I dontate to churches, charities, hospitals, anywhere, anytime how ever much I can.

One of the biggest(sorry), is having to have co-workers while working for other people, when I have a burning desire to become self-employed. Which is what I'm working towards right now.

Our son was born with a hole in his heart, and had to have surgery at 6 days old. We were scared to death that we would lose him. But he is now a bouncy happy healthy 5 year old.

being sexually assaulted by a man i was involved with, pressing charges against him, and facing him in court. but even more than that, putting the pieces of my life together after that incident and gathering up enough strength and determination to finish school.
