Then someone ought to be able to narrate a lot more effective to the 90s, the form, the music, television shows, and many different issues. You're using a dialup connection to connect to the Internet, and have call waiting on your phone. The "click" you hear on your phone when another call comes in is knocking you offline.
Check the front of your telephone directory for the code to use to disable call waiting for the current call. (it's usually *70 but may be different depending on where you live) Add that code plus a couple of commas to the beginning of the number you use to dial your ISP If your dialup number is 987-6543, you'd change it to:
*70,,987-6543
This disables call waiting until you disconnect the current call, and will stop incoming calls from kicking you offline. (each comma makes the modem pause for a second before resuming dialing, to allow the call waiting code to take effect)

Calls coming in are cutting off you net connection. If you have call waiting or some such service and a dial up switch off the service. This should stop your problem.

your best thing to do here is either use wireless network on your computer if you have it, or get connected to broadband then your incoming calls won't cut off your Internet connection.
