First, I will say -- sure, do whatever you like. Feel free to express yourself.
Second, I will say -- If you are a serious dancer, then act like a professional. Change into street clothes after class. One of my all time pet peeves is when a young dancer doesn't wash off the make up after a performance!
So, if you are serious about your craft - act like the pros do to be accepted as a pro.

Tights will sertainly attract funny looks.
Other dance trousers - it depends, but most likely - yes, it's a little out of place. I don't see why would you want to do it - dance clothes is expensive. Save it for dancing.
