That's a tall order for a little space like this. Well lets see, there are 50 states within the USA and each state has Representatives according to its population. The Representatives vote in Congress concerning different laws brought before them. There are also state level Representatives who govern each individual state along with a governor who has certain powers within the state. Each city has basically the same thing with a Mayor and or Aldermen who decide what will happen within the city. All of these people are placed in office by popular vote. The only governing power who is not voted on is the Supreme Court. They are placed in power by the President who is voted into office. He can only serve 2 terms and then can no longer run for a period of time. Whew, I think I'm running out of words to type. Anyway, we are supposed to be protected by a Constitution which provides us all the freedom possible without infringing on others rights.

We believe in something bigger than our selves .... even if other don't agree with it.
I'm not sure that most civilians know what our government is about anymore.

.Like any other Government it ( unwillingly ?) promotes and invites corruption..the best people can hope for is that this corruption called "pork" favors their geographic area or industry in which they work.Everything else is Bull ****

Representative democracy.
We the people elect those who represent us and make the legislation.
