Study for at least two hours a day, five days a week. Don't over do it and good luck!

When I took it I thought the best you could get was a 1600. In any case, unless you are an absolute genius, 2300 seems outrageously difficult. Study a lot - maybe 2 hours a day - as long as you can before the test. Take a SAT prep class. And then pray, pray, PRAY!

If you put in at least two hours of concentrated study for 6 months, you should get a good score...

It is not only the time you spend though...

You need to buy a GOOD study guide (or preferably 2 or 3) and work your way through it. Study guides not only help you understand the material that will be on the test, they will help you develop methods to improve your score even when you do NOT know the answer. Study guides will also help you to develop good habits for test taking, concentrating your time where it will do the most good, etc...

After you finish your study guide(s).. do them again!! Over and Over until your test day!!

Did they change the SAT? 2300?!?!?! Gee, when I took it I felt good about breaking 1400, but way back then the max was 1600. Are you thinking you can take it twice and add the scores?

Good luck.

The SAT added a writing component a few years back. Too many moms and dads writing their kids' essays I suspect. So now the possible score is 2400.
