Im 13, I watch all the most voilent graphic movies around, I don't see any problem with it, do you?I've seen about every horror movie since 2002 there ever was...
Many parents wont let their kids watch rated r or 18A films because of voilence, profanity and sex.
I see no problem with this, when I go to my dads every weekend we rent a movie (my choice) and we watch it which must be rated 18A or higher because I like the gory entertainment.
My favorite movie right now Is the Devils Rejects by Rob Zombie. If your a horror/crime movie fanatic this is a must see for sure, but make sure you saw house of 1000 corpses first =)
Here are alot of other good horrors I enjoyed that you should all check out.
Hostel
the hills have eyes
the descent
house of wax
2001 maniacs
dead and breakfast
wolf creek
silent hill
texas chainsaw massacre (2003)
house of 1000 corpses
Santa Sangre.
High Tension
I cant name em all right now but those are for starters lol.

My parents are around, My mom does not really care for horror sadistic movies like that, but Most 13 years olds are affraid of movies like this and I dont get that.... Most parents seem too protective about their kids and what they watch...

As long as you take the movies in their proper context and don't ever get involved in fantasizing acting out anythiing you see, then I don't think it's a huge deal. Your line about "liking" the gory content is a bit of a cause for concern though. I do believe that every child is different and the ratings system is a guideline. If you can handle it, enjoy.

It's one thing to watch it for the adrenaline rush of being startled or frightened or to appreciate the great special effects or make fun of the crummy ones. It's another to make a constant diet of ANYTHING in your life.
Take what you see with a grain of salt, remember it's fiction, and enjoy yourself. But be reminded that, "Trash in, trash out". Whatever you make a constant diet of is what your brain will revolve around. Try to broaden your horizons at every opportunity. And also that "Our minds are like windows. We want them to be open, but also need screens to filter out the junk!" I'm a big fan of reading/watching/gathering as much information and experience as possible, but only if you are able to reflect on it in a healthy, logical manner.

I don't see a problem with it, I think I watched these kind of movies a bit younger than you. It's just that you understand that these movies are all in good fun and with the exception of ones based on true stories, that these things are not the 'normal' way of life. People who do stupid thigs and blame them on movies are the ones who give this genre of movies a bad reputation. Watch them, enjoy them, but don't act on them.

you're right. there is nothing wrong with seeing violent/horror movies. it only becomes a problem when the viewer doesn't think while watching and simply absorb (the negative values portrayed in it etc) and even imitate everything they see and think it is right./reality.
have fun and don't forget the chips :)

ah, yeah. Where are you parents? Oh wait, you must live alone, right? 'Cause your parents surely aren't around. Ooooh, I see. Mom and dad are brain dead. Well then, I guess it's ok. You need some way to communicate with them right?
