When you are pregnant sometimes all they do is check the heartbeat...when will I get to see my baby in an ultrasound more often?

well, you usually get an ultrasound when you first go to the doctor to check the hearbeat....they can't hear the heartbeat on the doppler until 10-12 weeks, so if you go before then, ultrasound! Then, most but not all, doctors give another one around 20 weeks to make sure the baby is growing right....after that you don't get another one unless they are checking something like the amount of amniotic fluid or something.....

Usually you get 3 ultrasounds during a pregnacy and you should be able to see your baby all the time. I'm estimating that you should have an ultrasound around 3-4 months, 6-7 months and again near the end? I don't remember when I had mine...

hi. umm.. no not really, ultrasounds arnt too good for the baby, all the radiation and stuff. Although there have not been proven things i dont think. When your pregnant all you want to do it to keep having them though because of the excitement! Usually you only have one throughout the pregnancy, but if u are lucky, and have one very early like 13 weeks or something they will get you to have another one at about 20 weeks. Usually no more after that unless there are complications.

You usually get an ultrasound around 20 weeks. If everything is going well with your pregnancy thats it. I know its a bummer but if you can afford it you can pay to have one done and video taped. also FYI ultrasounds are perfectly fine for the baby its x-rays that are not good.

A lot of the time the ultrasound is if there is a problem especially when they keep doing them , you and baby must be doing fine, relax

Too much of Ultrasound is not a good idea for ur infant..... it strains the baby's body...eyes....etc.... so its better u see your baby more often after its birth.............
