I think the communist party in China is brutal, opportunistic and not to be trusted. The best way to bring democracy to China is to promote the free flow of information, especially by way of the Internet. Once people see what they've been missing, or rather what the government has been stifling, hopefully they'll rise up and demand change no matter what it takes.

What democracy ? Any Chinese citizen who wants to donate his thoughts and talents to China can join the communist party. Such system is needed because,
1. China has got a massive population and hence the western style democracy will only hinder progress and causes starvations.
2. Countries who have ill schemes towards China may use money politic to destabilise the country's sovereign unity. This is no mere thumb sucking; Fa Lun Gong is a creation of the CIA to promote stupid and unearthly ideology on the Chinese people. Very much like the British empire's supply of opium for the consumption of the Chinese people prior to China's independence.

The Communist in China are doing quite well for the people there, one step at a time they are gaining Industry and jobs from the Greedy Capitalistic countries, who worship semi slave labor provided by China, it is best to continue to move ever so slowly, but safely in this direction. The leadership in China is very smart and clever. Be patient.

There is nothing wrong , per ce, with communism. Some of the Early settlements in America, such as Jamestown ,were communes. The problem with China is that because it is a dictatorship, they have so many human rights violation, like the tank man incident. No one knows what happen to that man that stood in front of the tank in 1989. Either he was put in jail or he was executed. And if you do an Internet search on tank-man from China, it's like he never existed.
