yes i agree but i think its something to do with how much we think we know and how much more we want to know, people who knows little seems to be a lot happier...

If I am allowed to talk about myself than I would say I do not see anything else around apart from myself. This does not sound right, it sounds egotistical or a banal metaphysical perception of reality. But in fact this is true. It is true because I, my observation and the object of my observation are part of the same singular truth.
Then I ask – do I know the reality of things before know about them - what they would look like if my eyes were able to take more than seven colours, or if they were able to perceive space beyond normal three dimensions. What would then a tree look like? And a flower, or fruit – how would this world be like to look at? If I were not the way I am all this would look very different. It depends upon the way I am, and even upon the way I choose to see.
I can be extremely objective to see order in apparently a jumbled mess of things. The order, I can say, was in me at the first place. I have related that natural inherent order with the object of my observation. I did not learn about a jumbled mess of objects in my observation, but I have learnt about myself, about my own construct by nature.
On the other hand I can fall at the feet of petty subjective realism. I would then believe only what I see, and all that I do not see would that I do not believe. I may have all my dreams, hopes and aspirations dashed away as irrational and therefore unknowable. But this is impossible.
In fact all we see around is a reflection of our own selves. We see nothing without see ourselves first. If this is the case then knowing about things is know about me. Such knowledge then would not bring displeasure or unhappiness to any human eye. This world is a place for us to live and observe for the fulfilment of our senses. The clouds above, pristine lakes below, beautiful flower around, singing bird, various threes, the Earth and its rich tapestry of foliage, the azure blue sky, the heavens above studded with jewel like stars, the radiant Sun and the Moon. I find all this joyfully observable only because in all these objects of natural beauty I see myself.
Even things and places that are not beautiful, things that are ugly, remind me of absence of beauty. I can feel sadness, sorrow and compassion. I can imagine how beautiful they can be, or should be. This all is in me that I seek when I know things around me. Yes, things can make me deeply unhappy, but that deep unhappiness is not detached for a happiness deeper still.

I suppose... under certain circumstances.
For example, if you 'know' something bad about someone, it may cause you to suffer.
"Ignorance is bliss" does not always apply....
But on the other hand, many believe that knowledge is wealth, and that it should be used to your advantage.
I would chose knowledge over ignorance any day....

Not so much how you've suffered but how much you've learned from the experience and make it useful.
