The first two answers pretty much pegged it. You didn't state your age so there's no way to tell how this affects you. You may have a higher than normal metabolism which causes you to burn up your food at a faster rate than you can take it in. Don't you worry. I had the same thing when I was younger. Now that middle age has set in, the battle of the bulge has begun, as the metabolism begins to slow down.

On the other hand, you could be hyperthyriod, and a trip to an endocrinologist will tell you if you are or not. They'll inject you with some radioactive iodine and track it to see if it concentrates in your thyroid. If that turns out to be the case, a simple prescription for a thyriod compound will even out your metabolism and the weight should start filling you out.

you should go to see a doc and have them run a Tyroid test
