i only fish pools and canals and i find for the best results i like to fish the last couple of hours of daylight close to the bank appox 3 feet out 2 foot deep just off bottom. the tench and carp seem to come in around that time. double maggot on a 18 hook just off the reeds.

The only way you'll catch a fish, is with it's mouth open, if the fish don't open it's mouth, it will never get caught. There's a moral here.........
