hi didn't worry about the size of your bump, especially as it's your first. In a few weeks you will be amazed that your body get so big and just how quickly it happens. My 1st baby i didn't show for ages up until nearly 7 months i could still get in my size 10 jeans and it felt as though i went to bed and woke up massive and it was goodbye to my fave jeans for a few months!
My tip is: if you want to feel your baby move or you are anxious that you haven't felt your baby move, my midwife once told me to have a mars bar or something sweet with a cup of sweet tea and then about 20 minutes later take a warm bath and it worked every time. (don't if you are diabetic obviously no sugar etc) As baby gets bigger and you get further into your pregnancy you will defiantly be aware of those huge kicks your little baby gives you. But don't worry, 20 weeks is the average for first time mums as your stomach muscles and your womb are still strong so it can take longer to feel with your first baby. Enjoy the rest of this pregnancy, it's a special time.

im 24 weeks pregnant with my 3rd child and ive been feeling it kick since 16 weeks but with my first i didnt know what to feel for or what it felt like but nearer the end i had worked out a foot from a hand so every pregnancy is different i wouldnt worry to much about it,its probably moving all the time and you just dont realise it.my baby is moving about more during the night when im in bed than any other time but its a good feeling just lying in bed feeling the movements.

The fluttering is probably the baby moving. Maybe your baby is kind and not going to kick you during the pregnancy? lol. Moving isn't always the same as kicking. If you are keeping up on your prenatal visits and the doctor hasn't said that anything is wrong, I'm sure you will feel it more in due time.

There is no correct time for baby to start kicking. Some babies are extremely active all the time whereas others are quite still most of the time. My son did not move much at all until the last 4 weeks when he seemed to be trying to fight his way out.
If you are at all worried then speak to your doctor, health visitor or midwife.

Ooooo my lil guy used to do this each and every of the time. people tease besides the undeniable fact that it *particularly* hurts. fortuitously, it feels bruised via fact that's, nicely, bruised... and not completely broken. :) i don't be responsive to what motives it, via fact i be responsive to that little one's foot would not actually pass up on your ribs or under your armpit even while it looks like it. and that i will permit you be responsive to that this is totally widely used (yet painful) yet, as I tell all people, irl and on line, while you're worried in any respect approximately *something* throughout your being pregnant, communicate on your frequently used practitioner approximately it. in simple terms via fact the risk of a few thing is low would not recommend this is impossible. Be secure and provide your record a decision. whether not something is incorrect (which i even have faith) it provide you with peace of innovations.

I had fluttering around 20 weeks then not "proper" kicking til around 23 weeks. When you get bigger it's bizarre to actually see a foot or a hand as an outline on your belly - weird and brilliant! Congratulations - good luck

With my first, I was around 22 weeks before the flutters became harder kicks.
It may still take 2-3 weeks before you start feeling some harder bumps from baby. Its so much fun watching baby move! Congrats!

You are probably right in feeling your bubs kicking, He or she is just getting comfortable in bed like we all do. So don't worry, it'll stretch its little limbs and exercise as nature intended. And dont forget, your bubs will have to eat and drink everthing that you do! and that includes smoking and drinking! so cut out alcohol and cigarettes, and if your into drugs (God Forbid) them too! Have a good preggie!
