I need a change, I can do hair but make up is a whole nother world for me. My make up consists of brown eye shodow (medium brown for bottom of lid and a light cream for the top) Black eye liner and black mascara. Can anyone give me some color choices for brown hair and blue eyes and fair color skin. I am getting bored with my same look and I never seem to choose the right colors. Also with lipstick how do you choose the right color and how do you make your lips look fuller.

Well with your hair and eye color you can pretty much pul off most make-up. However if your unsure, try going to a department store make-up counter. Those people are trained to know what looks good on you. Tell the person you want something new, but not sure how to experiment. Tell them what you normally use, and things you have considered trying. Or bring in magazine pictures of looks you would like to try, and ask if/how it would look on you. And also how to apply it just right. You dont have to buy anything, but you should. Even if its just one or two things. Makeup girls work off comission. But if you can afford to buy an eye shadow or two that you like. And then pick up similar things at the drugstore if thats more in your proce range. Personally I am a MAC fanatic. Also many higher end make-ups have previews of their lines online. So you could get an idea of things you would like. Even though I know my way around makeup I still sit in at the MAC counter every few months to get new ideas, and try new shades im not sure of. Also you can try Sephora online, for ideas.

Try brighter colors that will look natural to enhance your eye color but don't over do it if your going to use it as an everyday makeup. Since you have blue eyes, you might want to switch to brown eyeliner and brown mascara. It won't look harsh on your eyes and will give the illusion they are bigger. To make lips look fuller, try a nude or natural pencil and go around the lips with it. If your going to use either lip or lipgloss, bring it as close to the liner you've drawn as you can, that way you can see the color and not the line. Hope that helps!

try a dark red base, like for blush. cover the entire eye, for the upper, right under brow where it curves and thin out, use a light pink almost nude. follow up with a dark brown or black in the crease of lid. line upper and lower with a dark brown or soft black, mascara.

lipgloss is the keep to fuller lips and make sure you line them in a matching color. if using a clear/sheer pink gloss try a sft pink liner (base this on your natural lip color.

i am not her #1 fan, but Lisa Rena's (married to Harry Hamlin) style of make up (kinda described above) would be perfect for you. also consider changing hairstyles, this may also work

HI Plaine Jane-

Be very careful with makeup counters their training is geared primarily to sell, sell, sell.
My best advice is to buy magazines, people,etc.. nothing too expensive, and look for a style of makeup you like and are willing to try. You are on the right track with your choice of colors, but sounds like you need to experiment a little more with eyeshadow hues. Go opposite your eye color, nothing too shocking or bold, you want people to notice you not your makeup! Stick w/ the black mascara it will bring out your beautiful eyes. Careful with pink/orange colors they can make your eyes look sad or sickly. Watch the shade of pink and orange you choose. Remember a little bronzer or highlighter for your cheeks will make a big difference in your look. A little blush is not taboo, if you want to go that route.
Go natural with the lips- that is very in now, everyone wants to look naturally beautiful today, not overly made up.

Best advice I could give. Hope it helps you out.

PS
To make your lips look fuller apply a little gloss or lip highlighter to center of your lips, use a pencil, and neutral or pink lip color.

When I get sick of my look I head to the Body Shop or something like Bobby Brown for a makeover. Body Shop has a good deal where you get a makeover for $20 but then you get a $20 credit on makeup. Totally worth it. Just tell them to give you a new look. I think MAC is good for makeovers too.

I work for Mary Kay, have a Mary Kay consultant come over and give a free make over and some samples and then you can decide easily what you would like to purchase. I live in northern NJ, so if you are around there I could stop by. I also send people samples all over the country you can email me if you want some. sanazrooney@yahoo.com

I think pinks would look good on you- pinkish shimmery shadow, a deeper blush and pink gloss or lipstick.

For an evening look, try gold shimmery powder on eyes and the apples of cheeks and a deeper lipstick shade in red.
