Why does the Government keep calling suspects British Muslims and not British Citizens.?

Maybe these British Muslims don't consider them selves to be British Citizens, just Muslims.
And why should they .... because they were born there?
You have to understand that some people don't think that way.
They don't think they are apart of your country.
It makes it easier for them to kill people they grew up with.

I think it is probably the press and TV that use these terms. The 10 Downing Street website makes no mention of such things but refers to them as 'suspects'.

I have heard a number of sympathetic British Muslim Citizens on the radio stating that they regard themselves as Muslim first and British second so I suppose they would only have objection to the inclusion of 'British' in their description.

There is also the fact that a a number of the suspected terrorists are so dissillusioned with the country who have paid for the schooling and healthcare for who knows how many years that they don't want to be known as 'citizens' of Britain, hence: British Muslims.

Maybe because 95% of the terrorist running around the world killing people are of the Muslim faith. I think a better question would be why are there so many radical muslims so angry at the world as a whole that they resort to such unthinkable acts. In addition, If they were truely following their faith, they wouldn't be doing the crazy things they are doing right now. I feel sorrow for the true faithful muslims that are actually a very peaceful and tolerant group. The Muslim faith is being destroyed by a very small minority and causing hate for the Muslim religion as a whole.

Do you not think people have a right to know? It is a matter of public safety and freedom of the press. If the current terrorists were Japanese like the sect of Aum Shinrikyo which released sarin nerve gas in the Tokyo underground in March 1995 would you not like to know?

I have no doubt that were there a terrorist group comprised solely of British Christians they would be refered to as such.

Muslim terrorists are harming Islam far more than they are harming the west. The vast majority of British Muslims are peace loving, devout people and they are as keen as everyone else to see these people stopped.

ask yourself this...are all the suspected terrorists muslim??Dont get over politically correct. The peolpe that are bringing terror to the U.K. are all Muslims. I admit that I am suspicious of Muslims. It is Moslems and Moslems only that are the cause of the latest threat. Tell me different if you can. I am completely non racist and I'm all for a multi cultural society. I also deal in reality.Disillusioned or delude Moslem extremists are our enemy right now and a lot of peace loving, law abiding Moslems are being brainwashed to commit attrocities.Forget pussyfooting around, this is the reality today ad it is the Moslem society that has the problem and the responsibility of this problem.
