All I like to do on ANSWERS anymore is ask an occasional question, and maybe answer a question here and there. It seems like the thrill (if you can call it that) is gone. How did I lose interest in accumulating points?

Please don't say that....for us level 4 and below ,that can be very discouraging. Anyway...I guess anything that u will do in excess can be very tiring and lead to burnout if not done in moderation. I'm not sure of ur pattern of answering questions but...in my case...the thrill is still here...i get quite upset when i reach my quota for the day. dont see it as accumulating points...maybe change ur motivation for doing it..like a genuine desire to help people with legit questions...like u right now.

Why are you people all so competitive? It should be clear to everybody that the whole points thing is being used to prop up buddies by people who think it's a competition. Look at it as an opportunity to have a dialogue or an argument with lots of serious, silly, wise, ridiculous, funny, people and enjoy!

I'm trying for level 5. I felt like that to, but stayed with it.
Now I'm almost there, and I wonder if when I reach it
the feeling you're having will come again.

Move on to something else. This really isn't a hard decision to make.

It shouldn't be about the points, it should be about dialog...

Sadly sometimes for me it's about diatribe.
