Either you're mistaking the penis hole for a pocket or you've been hanging out with some weird people. I've never seen male undies with pockets. I have a pair of undies with a pocket though. xD

pockets???? Maybe you're thinking of the fly. It's made as a pass-through so males can pee without dropping their pants. .The overlapping layers of material keep the "horse in the barn". On briefs, these layers form a pouch below the openings, but it would be uncomfortable to keep anything in it.

Very few have these. But those that do have them for storing a condom. I've seen female underwear that has these pockets too.
