Yes, it is. That's why there are so many overweight people these days. The technology makes everything so easy. You don't even have to get out of your car to do most things these days. There's drive through restaurants, pharmacies, we even have a drive through car loan company here. It's sickening. I wish that things weren't so easy or fun. I'm thinking about getting rid of all of the stuff in my life that help me to be lazy. I already refused a dish washer because I don't need it. A dishwasher is just lazy.

Do something about it. Collect clothing for the poor, go volunteer. Meet the neighbor everyone thinks is a little different. Why do you think people cross the border every day? Go to Mexico and see how the majority of the masses live there. People who are fat and lazy in our country choose to be that way. No one is making them sit at the fast food restaurant and eat all that food. Have lived everywhere, also grew up as a teenager really poor. Generation X expects everything to be handed to them. The rest of us work for a living.

Yes... I think that we have lost our work ethic. We want everything and really don't realize or value what we really need. Further, we have become ungrateful and selfish... most kids today are given their every whim on a silver platter.

Therefore, the one thing that we have lost is our fortitude. If life gets hard, few of us really know how to deal with it... most would rather just give up than overcome an obstacle.

I live in a region where things aren't so convenient or easy, but I've also lived in the States where every convenience is available.

It gets very frustrating having to worry about the smallest details and not finding what you want when you want it, but it also helps you appreciate comforts and conveniences when they are available.

I find that many of my American or European friends are somewhat unaware of difficulties in other parts of the world.

I say no. My grandmother has told me stories about how hard life was when she was growing up and I'm all for the modern conveniences of today.
