I have seen so many of these movies and they are all so similar. Even when they try to rip off other movies and veer off the path, they all still end up having the same story line.. Why is it that Indians can write all of our software but can't put movies together if their lives depended on it?
p.s. if you are looking to waste your life or kill off some brain cells, watch Fight Club - indian version. Hilarious and pathetically sad.

It probably has to go back to their visual arts traditions. If you look at any nation's films you can see that there is definitely no underlying asthetic to filmmaking, especially in visual style. Some countries can't seem to make a film that isn't suicidally depressing. Others look like a 50's musical no matter what the subject matter is.

Bollywood movies are not crap, they have an entertaining facet that maybe you have not realized, they are made to be "campy" ( a word that is reserved for some movies from the 70-80's, think of the"Rocky Horror picture show" or Woody Allen movies, or any Monty Python movies, they are to be taken as an art form, as any film is. You have to judge a movie for what it is, and that is an escape. I find them to be a cross between a musical and a soap opera. If you are a woman or have respect for woman's rights, u should also look into the history behind the woman producer that has been the figurehead for these movies, and the odds she has fought to become a leading film producer, when her background actually has pushed her down.. It is meant to be an escape these films...look at these movies like you would the "Wizard of Oz"... I think you may enjoy them more.

they are crap because the audience for those bollywood movies see only movies where a girl dances around the screen wearing only a kercheif.bollywood is no more 'u' rated its for adults and adults only.for that matter all indian movies (except some) are crap.

I think ur not an indian and most indian films are made with an indian taste in mind which u probably dont have.
As long as there are ppl watchin movies its a hit. And tats all what the producers ,directors and actors want.
And there are flop movies in all languages.U probably saw one of them which most indians avoided.

If Bollywood Movies r crap, wha ya seen many of them.....it mean u also like it.....and for yr kind information not all movies r crap, now a days Bollywodd be like Hollywood, Bollywood is very big industy in this world......

This is simple, coz for them now their lifestyle is just nudity & sex. Story makes no difference in that land, they just have to see who did the perfect 'turn on' scence

dats coz indians like larger than life cinema....dey want escapist cinema wer for those 3 hrs they wana forget bout evrythin nd jus live in a fantasy world wer evrythins perfect...this im talkin bout most o d yash raj nd karan johar movis.....movies like fight club,chocolate,etc rnt evn considered movies.....no1 evn watches em here...2 bad u chos nly dose to watch
