there were a few. firstly, the celebration after the final with italy was really cool to watch. i wasn't cheering really for either team, the celebration was just really cool and there was a lot of hype and excitement from the fans and from the players. so, as it was my 1st WC that i watched this year, that was just a cool thing to see.
then, you obviously can't forget the zidane/materazzi incident. not a fan of what either did, but i probably won't forget about that. that caused a lot of stuff in the media and on this board, so that will be hard to forget.
then, there is when my poor michael owen tore his cruciate ligament in his knee in the 2nd minute against sweden. i was so sad. he'll be out for all of this season, i'm so sad. luckily joe cole made up for that some. he's one of my favorites to watch and when he scored that amazing goal against sweden later in the match, i was so excited. that was a sweet goal.
then, when the socceroos came back in the 2nd half by scoring 3 goals against japan in like a 10 or so minute period. that was cool. it was their 1st WC goal and the 1st time they've advanced.
oh yea and i think this is the last. italy v. usa. that was insane. i can't eve put it into words. it was dissappointing to watch, but at the same time, very exciting to see the usa playing so good against the champs 9 players to 10. they didn't win, or lose actually, so that was awesome.

Tim Cahills first ever goal for Australia in a WC was pretty memorable. Australia getting through to the 2ND stage was great. Even though you guys knocked us out, that's OK, that's football and it still felt great to get so far. Zidanes performance against Brazil was another and I was really happy for Alessandro Del Piero when he got his goal. Gosh there were lots of memorable moments in the WC, some good, some not so good. But that's the WC I guess.

Undoubtedly Ronaldo's wink to his teammates as Rooney was sent off. England were not the same after that.
The Zidane headbutt was more shocking, but less subtle than Ronaldo's sneakery.

My most memorable moment is when we have won. It starts when Fabio Grosso scores the last shot. Also when Fabio Cannavaro took the trophy and lifted in the air. It was beautiful, so fantastic. Our victory is my memorable moment and it will last forever.
