First, you have to live where movies are made. Very few newbees are hired unless they are local because of additional $$ for hiring non-local talent. Keep your eyes on craigslist and mandy.com for films being shot near you.

look into being an extra. they're always needed, and JUST MAYBE you'll be "discovered". having sex with producers, directors, and actors is the more traditional route, though. if you don't think i'm serious, you've been sheltered (and should probably avoid film work).
