I'm 23, not bad looking with some talent. All my family and friends say I should go for it. But where to start??? Serious answers only plz.

Take acting lessons for the next for or five years. After that, you can start to audition.

Sign-up with http://www.lacasting.com. They have a program that sends out your profile to agents looking for new talent. Also, definitely get into acting classes. Even the best actors have coaches. First, you have to live where movies are made. Very few newbees are hired unless they are local because of additional $$ for hiring non-local talent. Keep your eyes on craigslist and mandy.com for films being shot near you.

look into being an extra. they're always needed, and JUST MAYBE you'll be "discovered". having sex with producers, directors, and actors is the more traditional route, though. if you don't think i'm serious, you've been sheltered (and should probably avoid film work).
