I have to take a drug test next week. It's a non-DOT drug test, meaning they can test your urine, hair, blood, and/or saliva. I tested negative with a urine test that I tried at home, but I am worried about the hair test because they can detect drugs you did 6 months ago. I haven't done any drugs in 3 weeks or so so I am okay with the urine... but how common do companies use hair to detect drugs?

A hair test is not a very common test because it is one of the more expensive drug testing options. Most companies will use a urine sample for a quick relatively accurate response without the added expense.

Its not that common but when they do use hair most go back 3 months...if your urine is clean your blood should be too same with saliva...hair is your only worry...shave your body and they have to urine test you...seriously

hair tests can detect pot for up to 6 months., however if you use the right preventative action , i.e. the proper shampoo, they will not detect squat and hence you will not be fired!!
