why cant it still be used in this context today? if someone said "I'm happy and gay this morning" in that context i don't find it offensive...however..if someone said oh him? hes gay..i would take that as a statement of sexual orientation...and laugh...(however if it continued day in day out that would deserve a bunch of fives) as I'm straight

The local regiment in my area before they were disbanded were the Gordon Highlanders, and they were known as the "Gay Gordons". In todays parlance that doesn't bear thinking about. It makes me think of the Monty Python "Camp it up" military precision swanning sketch.

Most of the time I am happy content with my 'lot'.
Sometimes I get sooooooo stressed out with my workload NOTHING is funny.
Other times, I feel so happy NOTHING and NO-ONE can bother me. It feels like I'm flying. Free as a bird!!!!!!!
