It's my 5 points and I will use them as I d amn well please. I am seeing this as an answer to alot of questions on the q and a site and I just want to clear something up. Zoo's do not take animals previously owned by private residents. They have thier own sources for getting the animals they keep and they stick with them. All animals they take in have to have a complete and thorough exam from the staff vet. The only donations the zoo really wants is a CASH donation. You want to get rid of a twenty foot burmese python or other monstrous reptiles, you will have to donate them to a rescue and preserve for misplaced reptiles. Talk to a qualified herp vet and they should be able to refer to somewhere that will take them. Or better yet use some common sense and research the animal before you buy it. Or just don't buy anything that can constitute a problem like that.

I used to rescue and relocate displaced herps. Now I am a vet tech tr vet technician specializing in exotics. And I have yet to put one in a zoo after hundreds of attempts. I am a Vet tech now.

Not entirely true but I agree with your point. The local zoo that I used to volunteer at has taken animals from private residents (a lady had a pair of bobcats and some kids had a groundhog that had been beaten by an old lady with a broom), but both were very special cases and it does NOT happen vey often. Especially with exotics. Most zoos have their 1 or 2 large snakes and that's all they really want. I've never heard of one taking a snake that used to be a pet... I work at a pet shop and it honestly irritates the heck out of me that we sell retics and burms... I have nothing against keeping them as pets, but I don't think that they shoud be made so readily available to the masses who generally have no business owning one...

Its not that they will never take a animal from a Private residence.. but its that all they need is ONE huge snake. and most zoos already have a Burm or retic and aren't going to Be willing to take on any more than that.. And to the girl who asked what the point of this post was its to show everyone how dim whited and unintelligent you relay are.

absolutely everyone who says "you at the instant are not the final till you bypass to the WWE" is a f*cking fool. i can call numerous wrestlers interior the international no longer in WWE that are 10x extra helpful than over 0.5 of the WWE roster top now. Austin Aries, Chris Hero, Davey Richards, KENTA, Kota Ibushi, Shingo, AJ varieties, Samoa Joe, Desmond Wolfe, Christopher Daniels, homicide, Mistico, Motor city gadget weapons, The Briscoes, youthful dollars/technology Me, Dragon youngster, Colt Cabana, etc.. Can absolutely everyone actual say with a promptly face say that the WWE roster is super? Can absolutely everyone actual say that a roster with Sheamus, The Miz, super Khali, David Otunga, Vladimir Kozlov, Mark Henry, Hornswoggle, John Cena and Randy Orton is super? i do no longer care in the event that they have Chris Jericho, part and CM Punk, the WWE roster top now as an entire is genuinely unfavourable. WWE isn't the final merchandising interior the international and that i do no longer understand how absolutely everyone might desire to declare they're. WWE has countless the worst wrestlers interior the international top now (super Khali and Mark Henry are 2 examples). and to no longer point out the undeniable fact that WWE would not care with regard to the midcard titles. that's a shame what the IC identify, the Tag group titles, and the U.S. identify have become over the final 5 years. they're in actuality meaningless. WWE marks/fanboys provides me as many thumbs down's as they want yet i do no longer supply a sh*t. BQ: complicated to pass with because of the fact that they're all super tag communities, yet i think of i visit bypass with the The Briscoes.

Pet stores are the same way, at least around here and with snakes. I had about 45 baby boas and they wouldn't buy them. They had to go from one of their suppliers. Well, I had about 4 suppliers call me after my ad in the paper wanting to buy them for 20.00/each. Ha!

Cool post, even if not a question.
So I have one for you, do you work at a zoo? And, if so, where?
