I was sitting at a table with friends joking around and my girlfriend was laughing so hard she let a toot out then in her embarassment blamed me. Being the gentleman that I am I took the blame for her, but people are not easily fooled, the truth will always find a way, they knew it was her all along. So I guess I was an ineffective scapegoat.

A better question when haven't I been a scapegoat! I've had to take the rap for sooo many things being the youngest in my family, my most recent one is being blamed for taking something that I didn't, when it was really my sister... somehow I got set up to take the fall.

When I was a kid, one of my sisters stole a pack of gum from another sister. Because one my of sisters and I had been fighting recently, my mother interrogated me especially, though she had all of us there. I, of course, had nothing to do with it.
This was the first time I realized one could be accused in utter bullshit.
