Ya, they look like dolls. Its kinda sad, instead of enjoying their childhood they're wasting it pretending to be the adults and teenagers they will all too quickly become.
OMG! I just got home from that movie like an hour ago! I thought it was brilliant, and it is officially my new favorite movie. But the little girls were definately creepy looking.

I agree. They don't even look like little kids. I think it's horrible and tasteless. Let them be kids for crying out loud, childhood goes by quick enough without having to look like a grown up hoochie. It's sick and wrong in too many ways. If you're going to have a pageant for kids, have one where they're all natural, everyday looks, clothes. Not who can look the most grown up or cheapest. Celebrate the youth!!!

It's wrong to make those little girls think that the only way they can succeed in life it to paint there faces and dress up like little dolls. They should not be looking like adults when they are 4 and 5 ... Only the pervs follow that circuit.

Apart from it being a very creepy thing to subject a child to, it's child abuse in my view. The parents seem to be out of touch with any sensitivity when they indulge themselves in this, and if another mother says "she wants to do it" I'll scream. It's the mothers who want some secondhand glory from it. Sometimes fathers get sucked into it, but I think one the whole (for once!) fathers have a more balanced view about it. (Unless they're paedophiles!)

By the time these parents get done doctoring the kids up, they no longer look like cute kids, instead they look like: wise little whores and they have the look in their eyes of someone who has pleased hundreds of men! They give that (smoldering look) that makes them look wise beyond their years! I find it so disgusting, and the poor kids are totally innocent! What a shame!

They are pretty enough, and pro make up looks very nice on them.. But c'mon,, Not a beauty pageant! Coz they are forced to it, and it breeds negative feelings and is disadvatageous to young kids.
jealousy, envy, unfair competition (beauty contests, thats not even right!)

They FREAK me out! They look like porceline dolls come to life... which is like my deepest fear... all that make up and, the big hair... they look so freaky.
