Philly all day...never been to Charlotte but I'm from Philly and if you like food there is none better in this country that I have found...and I've been all over (I have been through NC and stayed in Nags Head) Also come on 45min to the Shore...hour to NY...DC not too far either...and a lot of culture there too...I will be back one day just chillin in AZ right now.
Go to South St, Lorenzos Pizza two slices the size of a med dominos pizza and a soda for $5 come on and its good too...I need to go back on vacation, making me all home sick thanks.

Depends what part of Philadelphia....South Philly is good but if you go up North or over West it gets bad.
Dont know much about Charlotte though
