i am 16 years old , and i am very sad to know that man is not the only creature that turn woman on as men they attracted to opposite sex only
i read before that most women attracted to other women but they keep it secret , and most of them fantasize to have sex with a woman unlike man " most men" find sex with the same kind is very disgusting
please women why you feel that
is that because :
women are cute and pretty?
or women show thier bodies and wear sexy clothes usually
or because women do make up and cosmotics.....etc
or because of porn because lots of women now watch it and nearly every porn movie has two girls together
why you desire each others although the other woman have the same things you have ...dont you feel disgusting?

This has been done since the beginning of mankind. Get over it and live your life and let others live their lives. No. I'm not gay. Just saying that you need to stop paying attention to other stuff that makes you unhappy and miserable.

I don't think you have your facts straight about this. Women have always been more comfortable than men being physically close in the sense of hugging and touching each other. But I doubt that there is any more real sexuality in it now than there ever was, except that the taboos against acting out have been removed for most modern women.

Someone once said that 10% of people are naturally gay. It may be an order of magnitude guess, but let's use it. In 1950, possibly as many as 10% of those (i.e., 1% of all women) actually found a way past the taboos to have an actual lesbian experience. The rest just found themselves less interested in men than other women, and no big deal. Perhaps a bit of self-questioning as teenagers, but nothing very well understood, because it was taboo even to talk about it. Today, the proportion of those who find their way to "the gay community" and meet someone else who is similarly inclined is much greater.

But also, many women just go a little too far being close to a friend at some point (perhaps when drunk), get uncomfortable with it, and go back to being huggy, touchy type people who don't interpret that as sexual. Others find they are less comfortable with hugging and touching after that. I had to re-learn how to give a friend a hug without thinking it is "unnatural" after I got a little too close. Perhaps that's why there is also a category "bisexual."

I don't want to be offensive, but Lesbos was created by a woman named Sapphos who left her husband after he continuously, severely beat her. Other abused wives flocked to the island and established a community that became just as successful at trade and growth as patriarchal societies. These patriarchal societies then began terming the women of the island 'lesbians' and it became a derogatory remark.
As for questioning about women attracted to other women? It could be because they feel a deep understanding. As you mentioned, they have the same parts so they have a better understanding of those parts. Also, they could be attracted to other women due to poor treatment from men. And sometimes, you're simply made that way by society and those around you.

Lesbianism has been a social sign since the dawn of history. It is not a prevailing phenomenon, as you claim. Part of the human nature is curiousity and the search for everything bizarre and uncommon out of sheer boredom hence the tendency to try lesbianism. Some try it, like it and stick to it and some do it and leave it, therefore you cannot generalize.

I don't know why, it sure seems to have gotten really prevalent in the last decade. I think it is largely due to, as you said, the porn industry, but also because even mainstream entertainment (ie the Britney Spears/Madonna kiss) is saying that is acceptable, even desirable........
