No, Milk snakes and their close cousins the King snakes are not venomous. However, I do not believe they will eat crickets. I fed all of mine frozen/thawed baby mice from the start and they worked out just fine.

Milk snakes are not big insect eaters and are totally non-venomous. One major caution, NEVER keep a milk snake with any other snake as they are snake eaters by nature King snakes & milk snakes are the same family (lampropeltis) and will eagerly eat another snake if given the chance. In fact, I've had Eastern Milk Snakes in the past, that once they ate another snake, would not eat anything else.

They are not venomous. Milk snakes don't eat crickets. Baby milk snakes need to eat pink baby mice. Here is a great care sheet that explains care of milk snakes.

Milk snakes are not venomous, and make excellent pets. And no baby snakes require pinky mice. Snakes are not big fans of crickets. You can get pinkies at any pet store that sells feeders.

The milk snake is a medium sized snake that is 24 to 52 inches in length, but quite often maintains a slender build. It is nonvenomous.

Obviously, you know they aren't dangerous by now. I had a redtailed boa that gave birth to about 45 snakes. And, for their feeding, no matter WHAT I did, they would only eat live food! I tried frozen, warmed, with some special drops on them that are supposed to make them smell yummy, not one touched them. Even though they had never eaten, they wanted live. So, if you try frozen and it doesn't eat, this is just some of my experience, so you don't feel like you've messed up!
