I think it was New Mexico that passed a law that said when expert witnesses give testimony in court, they have to wear a large conical shaped hat decorated with moons and stars, a flowing purple robe, and hold a 14 inch wand in their right hand with which they must periodically make a stabbing motion in the air. Furthermore, the court bailiff must dim the lights during the testimony.
(As far as I know--the law has never been enforced.)

New Mexico it is an actual law children MUST ware shoes. Stupid because of the simple fact Have you ever tried to keep shoes on a child who does NOT want them on? They take them off and loose them. Plus you spend more time putting them BACK on than anything else.

In Des Moines Iowa it is Illegal to drive an IceCream truck.
No Ice Cream trucks allowed they are too dangerous.
