Why? are you trying to ruin it, or do you just want to go faster?
If you are talking about a Big-Rig, don't. It can cost you lots of money at the scales if DOT inspects you and sees the mods.
If you are talking about the little Dodge's etc, then you can spin them up a little, but unlike a gas engine, there is a performance requirement that the RPM's cannot exceed and still function. The fuel has to have time to fire from the compression, as there is no spark-plug.
If you want to do something like that, try a Bully Dog or a Hypertech tuner kit.

Faster truck.com sells the kit. What we used to do with a wire from dimmer switch to speed sensor. Its not cheap but it works.
And I've been inspected several times. DOT isn't looking for anything like that. To imply that one would be fined is silly. If they did see it they would simply inform the owner.....maybe
