I prefer desktop style over laptop
first of all the keyboard is hell on me large hands, the laptop gets my lap all hot, and the screen is awful
I much prefer desktop especially for long papers and stuff...
your thoughts on preferences?

a desktop pc is much better for the following reason's
one you get more for you cash
better ram better hard drive
better Graphics card
better Processor
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+ Dual Core Processor
you pay less for a desktop pc then a laptop
and you get much better
laptop they have many problems
1 is they come verry hot
if softdrink gets on the keyboardyou have to rush to power off the pc and check if there is damage and wait for it to dry out
laptop on a bed danger on a lap danger why
well simple blocking air vents
so where is a laptop to be to save blocking air vents
on a desk so then the laptop comes a desktop
laptops are always having problems the maine
one is the laptop comes verry hot and we are told to put it off and let it cool down
i never use a laptop
only desktop pc
more better for the cash you pay out

I am split on the issue so I have both. The issue to which is better is solely base on what you want to use it for.
Laptops vs. Computers
A-) Laptops just don't have the computing power a desktop does. (Mobile Processor vs. a higher grade cpu. ex: AMD, Intel, etc.)
B-) MOST... not all, like you said, have small keyboards. I actually have a model of Sony Vaio Laptop that has a keyboard that is normal size. The screen on it is very nice as well. However, if the keyboard is a huge concern for you and you really want the portability, you can buy a USB keyboard that would be normal size.
C+) Portability. You can take it with you. Also, generally has intergrated wireless. Mmmmm. Wardriving. :)
D-) MUCH harder to upgrade. Grrrrrrrrrr.... Desktop can evolve as you buy new parts. Laptops are generally stuck where they are.

I have to use Laptop because of my job but at home I have two desktops which I prefer, when I'm out of work I put my laptop in a hiding place which makes me free if I have to go out somewhere. Laptop makes your life harder and Desktop easier.

i like the two, I even have used a and had a private computing device longer than a working laptop or computing device, and computing device are solid, yet might properly be hassle sometimes, yet they're extra transportable and much less heavy and can be solid.... additionally computing device you could lay down with them on your lap and be gentle..

laptop is portable and you can use it anywhere. you can also customize your laptop. but the part on getting hot i think they should improve on it.

i think a laptop's better. it's handy and hasle-free. anyway, there are laptops that have bigger keyboards. why don't you try to look for those stuff?
